About Valada Viva
Valada Viva Retreat Center is a place of pause, presence, and possibility.
Located just six minutes from the ancient and living village of Figueiró dos Vinhos, in Central Portugal, Valada Viva is a retreat center rooted in nature, creativity, and care.
Created by artists and hosts Debórah Eliezer Adabachi and Noor Adabachi, Valada Viva brings together their shared love for the natural world, the arts, cultural exchange, and social justice.
Here, time slows down.
Guests are invited to step away from the rhythms of daily life and enter a space designed for rest, reflection, and renewed curiosity.
Whether you come to restore, to create, or simply to breathe more deeply, Valada Viva welcomes you as you are, for a few days, a season, or a meaningful pause.
Connection
We value deep listening
to people, to place, and to the rhythms of nature.
Care & Hospitality
We believe in hosting as an act of love, where food, space, and attention are offered with intention.
Creativity & Expression
Artistic practice, in all its forms, is central to how we explore meaning, healing, and collective imagination.
Simplicity & Presence
We honor slower ways of being, making space for rest, reflection, and authentic experience.

OUR MISSION
To cultivate spaces where people can reconnect: with themselves, with one another, and with the living world around them.
We believe rest is not a luxury, but a necessity. Through retreats, gatherings, shared meals, and creative practices, we offer experiences that nourish the body, mind, and spirit, while honoring the land and local community that hosts us.
Valada Viva exists at the intersection of hospitality, artistic practice, and social awareness, creating room for transformation that is gentle, embodied, and grounded.
the facilities

At Valada Viva, our facilities are designed to support both collective and individual experiences, balancing comfort, creativity, and connection with nature.
The space includes a swimming pool, an indoor yoga studio, an outdoor yoga platform, and a welcoming indoor living room for rest, reflection, and shared moments. For communal meals and gatherings, there is an outdoor eating area.
The land also offers two gardens, inviting quiet time, exploration, and grounding, as well as a dedicated camping area for those seeking a more immersive, close-to-nature experience.

Nestled among hills, forests, and rivers, Figueiró dos Vinhos is a historic village in Central Portugal with deep roots in craft, agriculture, and community life.
Known for its lush landscapes, stone architecture, and proximity to nature, the region offers abundant opportunities for walking, swimming in river beaches, and quiet exploration. Life here moves at a human pace, shaped by seasons, local traditions, and long-standing relationships with the land.
Valada Viva is honored to exist in dialogue with this place, learning from its rhythms, supporting local economies, and welcoming guests into a living cultural landscape.
